The College of Business at Black Hills State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Accounting beginning August 2025. Black Hills State University is a teaching focused University located in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota.
Tenure track faculty positions have defined responsibilities in teaching, scholarship / research and service (University, professional, and community). The College of Business is accredited by AACSB International and offers undergraduate business programs in Professional Accountancy (150 credit hours), and Business Administration (120 credit hours) with the following specializations accounting, economics, entrepreneurial studies, health services administration, human resource management, management and marketing. The College of Business also offers an MBA in applied management.
DUTIES :
- Teach accounting courses at the undergraduate and MBA levels.
- The teaching load for this position is four courses / semester with summer teaching possibilities. Engage in appropriate research / scholarly activities.
- Participate in student advising, recruitment and retention activities.
- Participate in service activities.
