The College of Business at Black Hills State University seeks to hire an Instructor for a full-time, term position in Accounting starting in August 2025. Black Hills State University is a teaching focused University located in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota.

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field, and should be able to teach undergraduate accounting. Faculty positions have defined responsibilities in teaching, scholarship / research and service (University, professional, and community).

The College of Business is accredited by AACSB International and offers undergraduate programs in Professional Accountancy and Business Administration with the following specializations accounting, economics, entrepreneurial studies, health services administration, human resource management, management and marketing. The School of Business also offers an MBA in applied management.

DUTIES :

• Teach undergraduate accounting courses (face-to-face, online, and at an extension location in Rapid City).
• The teaching load is four to five courses per semester with summer teaching possibilities.
• Maintain Instructional Practitioner or Scholarly Practitioner qualifications for AACSB accreditation
• Participate in student advising.
• Participate in service activities.
