The School of Business at Black Hills State University seeks to hire an Instructor for a full-time, term position in Accounting starting in January 2025. Black Hills State University is a teaching focused University located in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota.
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Accounting or a related field, and should be able to teach undergraduate accounting courses including taxation courses. Faculty positions have defined responsibilities in teaching, scholarship / research and service (University, professional, and community).
The School of Business is accredited by AACSB International and offers undergraduate programs in Professional Accountancy and Business Administration with the following specializations : accounting, economics, entrepreneurial studies, health services administration, human resource management, management and marketing. The School of Business also offers an MBA in applied management.
DUTIES :
- Teach undergraduate accounting courses (face-to-face, online, and at an extension location in Rapid City).
- The teaching load is four courses per semester with summer teaching possibilities.
- Engage in appropriate research / scholarly activities.
- Participate in student advising.
- Participate in service activities.
