IT Support Technician (Hybrid On-Site/Remote)

What You’ll Do:
- On-Site & Remote Support: Troubleshoot a variety of IT issues—hardware, software, and network-related—both at client sites and remotely.
- Client-Focused Solutions: Understand client needs and deliver clear, jargon-free guidance, ensuring each interaction leaves them more confident and productive.
- System Management: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and networks across Windows, Mac, and Office 365 ecosystems.
- Proactive Problem-Solving: Identify potential IT concerns before they become issues, offering practical solutions that keep clients up and running.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work with your remote teammates to resolve issues efficiently, all while keeping thorough, organized records of tasks and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 4 years in IT support (helpdesk, field support, or systems administration).
- Technical Skills:
- Strong command of Windows and Mac OS environments.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting methods.
- Proficiency with Office 365 administration, including email and cloud services.
- Familiarity with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and related infrastructure.
- Customer Service: Friendly, patient, and able to explain technical details without the jargon.
- Location & Logistics:
- Must reside in the North Puget Sound area for efficient client service.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and insurance required.
- Comfortable traveling within the region daily, typically visiting one or two primary clients for a few hours, then working remotely or visiting other clients as needed. (Mileage reimbursed)
- Preferred Extras:
- Industry certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.)
- Comfort with lifting/moving standard IT equipment (up to ~25 lbs).
