What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Outreach Ambassador (ABH - CTX 2) position at Black Men's Health Clinic?
JOB OVERVIEW
The Black Men’s Clinic Health is seeking a passionate and outgoing individual to join the Black Men’s Health Clinic (BMHC) team as a full-time Community Outreach Ambassador supporting our collaboration with Dell Medical School’s Advancing Breast Health in Central Texas (ABH-CTX 2) Program.
This is a grant-based, temporary, Austin-based role with up to a three year assignment.
Breast cancer screenings and diagnostic services are commonly focused on biological women, with less than 1% of men diagnosed on average. However, the intentional inclusion of men enhances awareness, health equity, and access to care while elevating opportunities to create more discussions with men and a better connection to women who might not otherwise be engaged in breast cancer prevention.
The Community Outreach Ambassador will help bridge the gap as a liaison between the Black Men’s Health Clinic, the targeted underserved population, and other community partners.
