Duties
- Supervise the planning and implementation of daily programs for children
- Oversee and support staff, including supervision, orientation, and ongoing professional development
- Lead staff meetings to ensure communication and alignment with program goals
- Foster strong relationships with families and the community to promote the center?s mission
- Serve as a key public relations representative, enhancing the center?s visibility
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirements and best practices in early childhood education
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors, providing updates on center operations, policies, and overall progress
- Maintain a high standard of care and education, ensuring the well-being of all children enrolled
Requirements
Experience Required:
- Minimum of two years' experience as a child care teacher OR
- One year of experience as a center director or lead teacher in a licensed child care center or other approved setting
- Must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent
Education Requirements (One of the Following):
- Bachelor?s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a WI DPI License qualifying the candidate to teach Kindergarten, Pre-K, or Early Childhood
- Registry Level 14 or higher certification from The Registry
- Wisconsin Child Care Administrator?s Credential
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Completion of four approved Early Childhood Education courses, with a commitment to obtaining the WI Child Care Administrator Credential within three years of hire
