Description and Qualifications
The Night Audit is responsible for overnight operations of the front desk, accounting, and security of High Hampton. Overnight responsibilities also include interaction with guests requiring the Night Audit to be an able and competent representative of High Hampton. The major results of this position are to effectively handle any questions, problems, concerns, and needs of any guests related to lodging, food, and beverage as well as the general safety of High Hampton’s buildings and grounds.
This is a seasonal position with full-time hours. The season is from May to December. Must have flexibility to work weekends and holidays. Shift is 11:00 pm-7:00 am.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Answers and responds to guests' calls and individual needs
- Assists in late check-ins and early departures including luggage delivery and removal
- Logs and delivers wake-up calls
- Security checks and walk troughs
- Assists in housekeeping in common areas after late-night activities
- Prints traces and arrival reports for the following day
- Completes opening paperwork for the next business day
- Processes and delivers the guest folios with departure letters
- Completes the night audit entry and review
- Supports tasks required by the controller as needed
- Responds to fire alarms and takes appropriate steps
- Observe property for potential security problems
- Monitors groups and individuals after-hours
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.
Must work well with other Team Members and Managers and interact with our guests.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hospitality/security experience preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and managers
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Must have an understanding of basic math and accounting functions for night audit reports
REASONING ABILITY
- Must be able to remain calm under pressure
- Must be able to simultaneously manage diverse tasks
- Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to personally manage time to stay alert
- The job requires one to be on feet for most or all of the shift
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- General office / front desk guest reception area
- 1,400 acres of High Hampton property
