In-House Accountant
Reports to : Owners / COO
Location : Brooklyn, NY
Schedule : Monday-Thursday (9 / 10 AM - 5 / 6 PM), Friday (9 / 10 AM - 1 / 2 PM)
Compensation : $120,000 - $150,000
Position Purpose :
The In-House Accountant is responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of our merchant funding company by overseeing all fiscal operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making for the Owners and COO. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding the company's financial health and providing transparency to investors in the fast-paced world of merchant funding.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and approve all financial transactions related to merchant funding activities, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Maintain precise bookkeeping and comprehensive financial records using QuickBooks.
- Prepare detailed year-end financial reports for submission to tax professionals.
- Generate monthly financial statements for investors, highlighting funding performance and returns.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, addressing financial inquiries and updates.
- Produce quarterly and annual financial reports to support business planning and investor relations.
- Coordinate with legal counsel as needed to address funding-related compliance or contractual matters.
- Be available full-time during the specified hours to meet the demands of the role.
