Job Description:
They are looking for a driven Sales Account Manager to join their team in Woodbridge, NJ, focusing on managing, farming, and upselling our existing accounts with major big box retailers nationwide. The role requires a seasoned professional with a knack for nurturing client relationships and growing business through strategic sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management:
- Act as the primary liaison for existing key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and account retention.
- Regularly review account performance, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Sales Growth:
- Develop and execute strategies to upsell and cross-sell products to existing clients, aiming to increase sales volume and market penetration.
- Set and achieve sales targets for each account, monitoring progress and adapting strategies as necessary.
- Client Engagement:
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers in big box retail environments.
- Address client needs proactively, providing solutions that enhance their business while promoting our product lines.
- Market Analysis:
- Continuously analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to inform sales tactics and product positioning.
- Product Promotion:
- Collaborate with marketing to design and implement promotional campaigns tailored to each account's customer base.
- Ensure that sales materials and presentations are compelling and reflect the latest product offerings.
- Travel and Representation:
- Attend trade shows and conferences 10-15 times a year, representing our brand and networking with industry professionals to expand business opportunities.
- Reporting:
- Provide detailed sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to management to support strategic planning.
- Negotiation:
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and promotions to secure favorable deals while ensuring profitability.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- At least 2-15 years of sales experience, with a strong focus on account management within the retail sector, particularly with big box retailers.
- Demonstrated success in upselling and expanding business with existing clients.
- Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting sales data and market conditions.
- Attributes:
- Proven ability to manage and grow multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Willing and able to travel for trade shows and client meetings.
