Home Renovation Cost Analyst Job Summary
At Blackdog Builders, Inc., we seek a Home Renovation Cost Analyst to provide accurate and timely project estimates, ensuring seamless collaboration between internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs based on project specifications and site conditions.
- Prepare and manage contract documentation to align with project requirements.
- Analyze blueprints, proposals, and specifications to ensure all elements are considered in the estimate.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary measurements and data.
- Update the estimating cost catalog to reflect current materials, labor rates, and industry trends.
- Maintain familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (design, production, and sales) and external partners (vendors, subcontractors, and clients) from project inception to completion.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, specifically in remodeling projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs from frame to finish.
- Familiarity with estimating software such as JobTread, BuilderTrend, Procore, or Co-Construct.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
- Familiarity with CADD software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits.
