Job Overview
Provides responsible and consistent service to the Payment Systems department ensuring the credit union’s CardServices, Digital Banking, Payment and Cash Management programs run optimally and progress with technology and innovation. The responsibilities noted below are not to be considered an all-inclusive listing of duties.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- Acts as a resource for staff related to CardServices, Digital Banking, Payment and Cash Management/Business product implementation and support
- CardServices, Digital Banking, Payment and Cash Management services include, but are not limited to: Banno online/mobile banking, ACH Origination (payroll, external transfers, REPAY, Magic Wrighter, PSCU ACH, FICS ACH), iPay (Business Bill Pay, Consumer Bill Pay, P2P), Mobile Deposit (RDA), Business Mobile Deposit (mRDC) and Business Remote Deposit Capture (RDN), FedNow/Faster Payments, Positive Pay, Debit, ATM and Credit products
- Responsible for setting up members, and assists in training employees, on payment system products
- Manage wire transfer agreements and wire requests while following BHCCU policies and procedures
- Works on special assignments as directed by the payment systems manager or director
- Review payment system products and activity daily for potential fraud activity and report those findings to the appropriate team
- Daily/Weekly/Monthly reconciliation of internal general ledger and checking accounts that relate to the payment systems department
- Cross-Trained to provide back up support to assist with payment systems processing
- Maintains an advanced level of familiarity and understanding of all payment system processes and procedures according to laws and regulations
- Recommend new technologies that focus on the development and enhancement of credit union payment services
- Provides project support; assists with research, testing, installation and troubleshooting of new and existing products and services
- Work with IT and outside vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system errors
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge and adheres to all regulations, policies, procedures, and standards that pertain to this position.
- Follow processes and procedures established to ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). Complete required annual BSA training to ensure you understand your responsibilities that apply to BSA, including:
o CIP (Customer Identification Program)
o CDD (Customer Due Diligence)
o Prohibited Account Types
o SARs (Suspicious Activity Report)
o OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control)
QUALIFICATIONS and COMPETENCIES
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s degree or an equivalent level of knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of financial institution work experience.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Will be required to obtain and/or maintain one or more certifications in areas of specialization (AAP, NCP, APRP, FPP).
- Pass the pre-employment credit and background screening.
