We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Warehouse Associate to play a pivotal role in our warehouse operations, encompassing both the reception and dispatch of merchandise. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading merchandise from delivery vehicles, selecting products from the warehouse, loading goods onto pallets, moving inventory to the delivery area, and ensuring that merchandise is loaded onto outgoing vehicles. Additionally, the role involves unloading stock from delivery vehicles and transporting it to designated warehouse positions.
The Warehouse Associate is expected to maintain a clean and orderly work environment at all times, adhering strictly to safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to follow instructions meticulously and operate in an efficient manner, possessing excellent problem-solving skills.
Key responsibilities include restocking shelves, processing incoming orders, packing and scanning orders, managing inventory, and ensuring that orders are dispatched in a timely fashion. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction of our warehouse operations.
This position offers significant exposure and interaction with other employees, customers, and external clients, including landlords, FedEx, UPS, USPS, and others. It is imperative that the Warehouse Associate exhibits professionalism in all aspects of their work, contributing to the smooth functioning of our warehousing operations. Preferred applicants are those who are hard-working, focused, and capable of handling a variety of tasks on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule.
- Receive and process warehouse stock products.
- Perform warehouse inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
- Keep a clean, tidy, and safe work environment and optimize space utilization.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles.
- Count and confirm inventory.
- Inspect inventory for damage and faults.
- Report any discrepancies and errors.
- Mark and label stock.
- Store inventory in an accessible manner.
- Load and wrap stock on pallets.
- Build loads with forklift and electronic pallet jack.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment.
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Misc ad hoc projects.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older and able to work full-time.
- Work experience as general laborer, preferably in a warehouse setting.
- Forklift experience is strongly preferred.
- Required to have a flexible schedule that accommodates working on some weekends and holidays when necessary (peak season, inventory count/control, team meetings, etc).
- Strong people skills.
- Strong teamwork skills and understand the value of working collaboratively.
- Able to lift heavy objects (typically 35-50lbs) continuously during peak hours of business.
- Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
