Are you a seasoned Electrical Engineer with leadership experience? We're seeking an Electrical Engineer – Discipline Lead (DL) to take charge of discipline design teams and guide projects from concept to completion. If you thrive on managing complex projects while ensuring scope, budget, schedule, and quality objectives are met, this role could be for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Direct discipline design teams through all project phases.
- Manage resources, schedules, and budgets using tools like earned value tracking.
- Develop technical specifications, data sheets, and ensure designs meet operability, safety, and maintainability standards.
- Act as the primary interface with clients on discipline-related issues.
- Review and approve calculations, vendor drawings, and project deliverables.
- Identify scope changes and ensure adjustments are made to schedules or budgets.
What We're Looking For
- 10 years of electrical systems design experience in a consulting environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology (Ohio PE license is a plus).
- Expertise in single-line diagrams, schematics, and NEC applications.
- Proven ability to manage teams of 3-4 and oversee power distribution, system modeling, and electrical equipment integration.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) or Front-End Loading (FEL) studies.
Physical and Travel Requirements
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods and occasionally travel to client sites or other locations.
- Willingness to work in various environments, including on-site client facilities (with proper safety protections provided).
- A valid driver's license is required.
