Responsibilities
- Coordinate with clients and manage project communications
- Lead and manage a design team, ensuring effective collaboration with other design disciplines
- Perform Quality Control reviews to ensure high standards of work
- Prepare project scope and fee proposals
- Adhere to project budgets and schedules
- Assist with responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and presentations
- Prepare construction plans for roadways, sidewalks, storm drainage systems, etc.
- Manage various design and support tasks, including roadway, trail, and sidewalk design; storm drainage design; stormwater management; erosion and sediment control plans; transportation management plans; signing and pavement marking plans; traffic signal plans; quantity and cost estimating; utility adjustment plans and coordination
Qualifications
- BS Civil Engineering or similar discipline
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- 8-10 years of experience in transportation engineering
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and lead a design team
- Proficiency with relevant design software (e.g., MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
