Performs senior-level skilled accounting and financial support work for the Parks and Recreation Department, preparing bi-weekly payroll, processing department credit card and accounts payable transactions, providing oversight of numerous processes, and assisting with specially assigned projects. Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pmThe Town of Blacksburg is an EEO Employer M/F/D/VThis position is not eligible for telework.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable an individual with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Gathers bank deposits from various locations within the department and prepares bank depositsAssists with Parks and Recreation program registration and collects registration feesProcesses all purchase orders, accounts payable, and credit card transactions for the departmentMaintains revenue reports for department divisionsEnters, proofs, and prints bi-weekly payroll for the departmentAssists with annual budget submissionsOrders office suppliesProvides coverage for the office by answering phone calls and assisting walk-in customersProvides oversite to one full-time and one part-time employeeProcesses refund requests and provides the Finance Department with a refund reportPerforms cash drawer audits for the Finance DepartmentCreates a monthly revenue report for the department
