The Camp Counselor supervises a group of children in the vast array of Blacksburg Parks and Recreation Summer Camp Programs including, but not limited to – outdoor, athletic, arts and sciences, and general summer camp activities. Assists the Program Supervisor with planning and carrying out activities. Works under the direct supervision of the Program Supervisor and the general supervision of the Assistant Parks and Recreation Director and the Parks and Recreation Director.Examples of camps may include but are not limited to: Community CampsFun CampArt CampChess CampSports CampsSoccerSwimmingSnorkelingFitnessCheerleadingVolleyballBaseballBasketballWrestlingOutdoor CampsWhitewaterRock ClimbingCavingMountain BikingRafting, Kayaking, CanoeingNature, EcosystemAge groups range from young children (3-7), to children (8-12), and/or teenagers (13-15).Shifts may include weekdays, weekends, mornings, afternoons, or evenings depending on specific camp schedules.The Town of Blacksburg is an EEO Employer M/F/D/V
