Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor - Press Room/Laser Department
Reports To: Director of Operations
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises, coaches, and reviews assigned employees.
- Schedules, assigns and plans work to meet the production goal.
- Enforces safety and all other company rules.
- Advises the purchasing of requirements for process chemicals, supplies, and process materials.
- Responsible for department housekeeping.
- Review work orders to ensure awareness of job requirements.
- Helping with new hires with training.
- Working directly with the Director of Operators to help problem solve.
- Communicates with customers when needed.
- Perform weekly inventory audits.
- Communicates and team-builds between departments.
- Create strategic solutions to improve material flow at multiple levels
- Works with engineering to realize cost-effective processes.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Advises purchasing of requirements for laser and press brake supplies/equipment.
- Knowledge how to run and set up a Press Brake, Laser, Saw, and Tool Room equipment
- Moves materials and product throughout the floor.
- Ensure prompt and accurate updating of the computer systems
- Helps and assists employees as required.
- Implement new ideas and programs for efficiency.
- Any duties assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position supervises the daily activities of the Plant, with direct communication from the Director of Operations.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Associate degree; or minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a supervisory role.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
