Job Title: Metal Fabrication Assembler
Reports To: Assembly / Paint Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY
Assembly of fabricated metal parts and products and more according to blueprints and specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, study assembly instructions,
· Knowledge on how to use hand tools, rivet gun, drill etc
- Inspect parts for inaccuracies or complications and discuss any issues with supervisor or manufacturing engineer.
· Assembles components by fastening parts and subassemblies.
· Verifies specifications by measuring completed component

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Associates must be able to successfully work independently and as a team member. A good attendance history (reliability) and a demonstrated ability to learn new concepts and skills is a must. LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred;
· Must have a minimum of 6 months experience.
· The ability to read blueprints, use calipers, protractors and machinist squares is a must; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
