Shipping and Receiving Clerk/Forklift Operator

SUMMARY

We are looking for an organized and efficient person to join our growing business. Manages the shipment of all products, materials, and supplies. Collaborates and communicates with logistics coordinator, customer service representatives, service providers, trucking companies, and others involved in the shipment of products. Tracks, traces, and updates the status of outgoing shipments. Is responsible for export logistics, the execution of shipping services and compliance documentation activities required for in/out-bound shipping activities. Our ideal candidate is attentive, energetic, and hardworking.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Record inventory data manually or on a computer
• Document discrepancies between inventory records and physical counts of stock
• Receive, count, and verify outgoing products
• Label stock items
• Pack and unpack items for storage in stockroom
• Operate machinery for moving stock items
• Process shipping requests, requisitions
• Distribute products or materials to store shelves, co-workers, or customers
• Keep the stock room neat and orderly
• Inventory stock of materials, supplies, parts, and merchandise
• Communicate to purchasing coordinator material issues
• Backup for shipping/receiving departments; when needed
• Kit and organize jobs
• Communicate critical shortages to respective supervisors

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum of six months’ experience in stocking, shipping, logistics or related field. In addition, individual must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).
