Job Description

The Administrative Support Specialist will provide a wide range of administrative and clerical tasks to support the day-to-day operations of the office. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees, clients, and visitors.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, respond to emails, and perform other front-desk duties.
  • Maintain a clean and organized office environment, including supplies and materials.
  • Sort and distribute mail and packages.
  • Assist with payroll processing and attendance tracking.
  • Support recruitment efforts by posting job openings and managing applicants.
  • Maintain office security and adhere to safety procedures.
  • Order and manage office supplies.
  • Coordinate meetings and schedules for Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.
  • Perform data entry and record-keeping tasks.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Comply with BCI rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook and Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Duties may be assigned by the Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or other designated personnel.
  • Develop basic computer skills and apply software knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database management).

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to move frequently around the office, dining room, and food preparation areas.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.
