Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to join our Client's team.
The Oracle Database Administrator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and
Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will possess a Secret clearance and IAT Level 2
certification, along with a strong background in database administration and security. This role will involve managing and optimizing database systems, ensuring their performance, availability, and security in accordance with organizational requirements and government standards.
The candidate will :
- Design, implement, and maintain Oracle, DB2, Cassandra and MongoDB database systems.
- WebLogic expertise (deploying, upgrading, patching troubleshooting Oracle WebLogic)
- Ensure the performance, availability, and security of database environments.
- Manage database installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and database performance.
- Plan and execute backup and recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database systems with business needs.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior database administrators.
