Required Skills & Experience
- 10 years of IT experience in Database Administration
- Financial Industry experience is required
- Experience with Oracle Relational Database Management System on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) version 7/8
- Must have experience Oracle database optimization for hybrid data processing
- Must have experience with CyberArk, Red Hat OpenShift, Autosys and ServiceNow
Desired Skills & Experience
- Prefer experience with PostgresSQL, SQL Server and MySQL
- Prefer experience with NOSQL Database
What You Will Be Doing
- Provide Application Database Administration support to the entire Reference Data team for its enhancements.
- Ensure availability and performance tuning of the databases that support the system.
- Work with the team to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high availability and optimum performance.
- Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
- Provide trend analysis to the service management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.
- Responsible for problem escalation to Oracle Development team and third parties as appropriate.
- Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades.
- Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team.
