Corporate Affairs department at Blackstone plays a critical role in shaping and guiding the firm's communication strategies, both within the organization and externally. Key areas that comprise the department: Public Affairs, Marketing, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.
Job Description:
Blackstone has considerable convening power and hosts sizable internal and external events each year. The role sits on the firm’s Marketing team and co-reports into the Content Strategy & Events teams.
The role will lead content design and implementation for the firm’s signature events, which engage key audiences, such as clients and portfolio company leadership. The individual hired will coordinate with internal stakeholders across our business units, investor relations and corporate groups to craft differentiated, thought-provoking agendas and content. They will help select and invite outside speakers and deliver best-in-class experiences for event attendees. They will develop strategies to ensure that content and insights engage audiences beyond those in attendance.
Blackstone places a premium on unique events that offer attendees actionable take-aways and usable insights.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Expected annual base salary range:
$150,000 - $225,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Event Content Strategy: Develop comprehensive event strategies that that align with Blackstone's brand and event goals.
- Partner: Serve as an important bridge across the Content and Events teams. Additionally, coordinate closely with other internal partners across: Blackstone business units, Investor Relations, other corporate groups, Public Affairs and Marketing (including Design Studio, Video Production, and Digital teams).
- Content Development: Craft event themes, with compelling agendas and content across sessions. Research competitive landscape to ensure agenda is differentiated. Ensure content is geared toward providing actionable take-aways and insights.
- Agenda Management: Ensure agenda lends itself to smooth event flow. Oversee strategy around multimedia components.
- Speaker Selection & Recruitment: Leveraging personal network, in addition to Blackstone’s, to identify and recruit high-caliber speakers and moderators. Assist with speaker/moderator prep and engagement.
- 10 years of experience in event content planning, specifically high-end conferences
- Understanding of financial services industry
- Proven track record of managing complex projects with attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent writing, interpersonal and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree
