SMT Operator

Overall Responsibilities: This position performs the function of operating the surface mount assembly equipment including the hand placing of components. Have the knowledge to access company procedures and navigate shop floor controls.

Duties:

• Uses either a manual, semi-automatic or automatic solder paste stencil machine
• Loading components onto a Universal Fuzion or GSM pick and place machines
• Operating the reflow oven
• Loading proper programs into AOI machine
• Performing quality inspections at each stage to ensure product is built per customer specifications and industry standards.
• Communicate with AOI personnel to identify and resolve assembly issues

Education:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. 

Experience: 

• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to recognize problems in the operation process or with components and to highlight/communicate those problems to Team Leader.
• Good vision, hand coordination and manual dexterity are required.
• Ability to read, write and otherwise communicate effectively in English.
• Must be able to read and understand work routers, bill of materials, assembly drawings, component identification, and component polarity.
• Basic PC Knowledge.
