What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Navigator position at Blackwood Campus?
POSITION GOALS
- To provide support for prospective and current students and assist them with the entire enrollment process. The Navigator will reinforce access, success, and retention of students.
- Demonstrate and promote a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Guide prospective students through the enrollment process and assist with their inquiries about the college according to the established guided pathways to success model.
- Make appropriate referrals to both on-campus offices and outside resources for resolution of student concerns.
- Maintain a regular outreach and follow-up schedule with prospective students.
- Guide prospective students from the application process through testing, registration and payment.
- Assist students who visit the campus with the enrollment process, tours, etc.
- Assist with maintaining Admissions office correspondence.
- Maintain a presence at the Taft Hall Welcome Center greeting and assisting all visitors to the building.
- Assist in the day-to-day function of the admissions office – transcript evaluation, application review, and communications management.
- Represent the college as a Recruiter at on and off-campus events including Open Houses.
- Communicate campus policies and procedures as well as degree offerings, pathways to program completion, and selective program admissions criteria.
- Provide support for Admissions and Recruitment events on the Blackwood Campus with occasional travel to Camden City and Cherry Hill campuses.
- Participate in various retention efforts.
- Collect and maintain data as necessary.
- All other duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s degree or equivalent credits required (60 credits).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work as a part of a cross-functional team in an innovative environment
- Ability to plan and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work in a busy environment with a diverse population.
- Basic computer skills are required; familiarity with MS Office products is preferred.
