Blackwood of DC is seeking a Field Timekeeper Assistant to support our construction projects by ensuring accurate tracking of workforce hours, material requests, and site documentation. This role plays a vital part in job site coordination, reporting, and assisting with essential administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Employee Time Tracking: Monitor and record employees’ daily hours based on activities performed and submit reports accordingly.
- Manpower Assistance & Reporting: Track and maintain daily workforce reports, ensuring accurate documentation of personnel on-site.
- Material Requests: Prepare and submit weekly material requests in coordination with site foremen.
- Rental Equipment Coordination: Track rental materials moving in and out of the job site, ensuring proper coordination with the foreman.
- Incident Reporting: Assist in gathering information and documentation for any on-site incidents.
- PPE Requests: Monitor and request Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed for the workforce.
- Concrete & Pump Scheduling Assistance: As experience is gained, assist in placing concrete orders and scheduling pumps under the foreman’s direction.
- Subcontractor Invoice Tracking: Print and manage necessary forms for subcontractors to facilitate invoice tracking and processing.
- Site Progress Documentation: Capture and maintain daily job site progress photos for reporting and record-keeping.
- General Administrative Support: Assist with other field-related documentation, report preparation, and communication as required.
- Experience: Some construction experience preferred; familiarity with field operations and reporting processes is a plus.
- Language Skills: Must be bilingual in English and Spanish to facilitate communication with a diverse workforce.
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and construction-related software is a plus.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver's license is required for job site mobility.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with foremen, subcontractors, and site personnel.
- Detail-Oriented: Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to multitask, troubleshoot minor issues, and work proactively in a construction site environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work on-site
Able to exert heavy physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 35 pounds.
Able to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb or crawl.
Able to work a flexible schedule, sometime early, late, and weekend as needed
