Tennis Pickleball Instructor

Ideal Candidate:

Must be on property 5 days a week for 40 hours. During your time you will be responsible for building the tennis/pickleball programming for residents of all ages and abilities. Candidate will while ensure the courts and grounds stay in top playing condition by helping to supervise and assist a court maintenance staff member. Court maintenance brushing of courts will be required one maintenance persons days off and as needed. Work in the Tennis pro shop while not on the courts and ensure it stays clean neat and stocked.

There are 8 pickleball courts and 6 HarTru Tennis Courts

• Supervises all Tennis and Pickleball play and proper charging of fees, and rental of equipment.
• Initiates, Creates teaches and promotes tennis/Pickleball clinics, special events and programs in an effort to attract and maintain residents interests.
• Provides beginning through advanced instruction (private and group) for all levels and ages of players.
• Implements and develops lesson programs for adults and juniors. Help build Teams as the community grows
• String and regrip racquets
• Enforces all Community rules and regulations governing the use of the facility, its equipment and other property.
• Prepares Monthly and seasonal events for residents to take part in
• Works cooperatively with Activities director to develop combined programs for the residents.
• Ensures proper inspection of the courts/facilities on a daily basis prior to the start of play. Works with our staffed maintenance person to ensure all daily and weekly work has been performed and the courts are in a safe working order. Reports any maintenance problems to Blackwood Management so proper next steps can take place
• Monitors court usage including special events, clinics and lessons.
• Responsible for addressing resident issues and resolving problems.
• Brushes and maintains courts when needed
• Properly charge for lessons and clinics to residents accounts

Requirements

• Strong communication skills to effectively educate students
• Ability to work with individuals of all skill levels and ages
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Work 5 days a week
• Current up to date Certifications to teach Tennis and pickleball
• Previous experience playing and teaching tennis and pickleball
