Key Responsibilities
- Provide social work services to foster children and families, including assessing needs, developing care plans, and monitoring progress.
- Recruit, train, and license foster care providers, conduct home visits to assess home environments, and monitor child welfare.
- Coordinate placement of children in therapeutic diversion, temporary, emergency, and supported family living situations, and facilitate children's visits with siblings, parents, and significant others.
- Develop positive relationships with children through visits, phone calls, and private conversations, provide information, assistance, and counseling as required, and assist parents to regain parenting abilities.
- Coordinate activities with school personnel, community resources, and other agencies to achieve goals and provide 24-hour on-call support to care providers.
