Maintenance Handyman

Job Summary :

The maintenance Handyman role is not supervisory; you will work with the supervisor to efficiently operate the assigned departments by performing various repairs and maintenance tasks for the restaurant(s) and facilities upkeep. Facilities include multiple locations for Jack in the Box and Qdoba Mexican Eats.

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Perform electrical repairs in restaurants.
• Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary.
• Complete general building cleaning and maintenance.
• Install and replace floors, stairs, and piping as needed.
• Repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs, and other parts of the building.
• Maintain trash and recycling receptacles around the facility.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks as part of a preventive maintenance program.
• Flooring, plumbing, and electrical repairs
• Equipment installation
• All other jobs assigned. Required Skills / Abilities :
• Ability to use hand and power tools proficiently and safely to perform all maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to build and maintain a professional relationship with store management and staff.
• Ability to communicate with supervisor all progress and issues that may arise or parts needed. Ability to manage inventory and complete invoices accurately.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Team orientated and good communication skills.
• Must be self-motivated and work independently.
• Tile repair knowledge.
• Painting, building, and property repair experience.
• 1-3 years' experience in restaurant equipment repair
• Light electrical and basic plumbing knowledge.

The job offers a Monday to Friday schedule with occasional weekend work only in emergency situations and comes with a range of benefits including health and dental insurance and a 401(k) plan.
