What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator (CNC/Woodworking) position at Blair-Dumond, Inc.?
Blair-Dumond, Inc., a company centered on Custom Architectural Woodwork & Cabinetry, is currently searching for full time machine operators in our Richmond, VA facility.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform setting up, operating, and safely maintaining machines on a regular basis
- Follow all lock out/tag out procedure
- Operating machines centered on woodwork/cabinet-making (saws, edgebanders, drills, sanders, moulders, planers, etc.)
- Examine wood materials after machine use for any damages or imperfections
- Monitor machines while under operation and make adjustments as needed for material to conform to desired specifications
- Completion of other duties as assigned
- Have a high school diploma/GED or higher
- Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals is not required, but is a plus
- Knowledge of basic math
- Able to work on a team
- Attention to detail
- Able to follow OSHA/safety guidelines
- Additional machine certification is not required, but is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
