Job Description: Custom Cabinet Builder
Reports to: Shop Foreman
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Set up and operate a variety of woodworking machines and uses various hand tools to fabricate and commercial grade assemblies.
- Study and understand blueprints and/or drawings of articles to be constructed or repaired.
- Set up and operate woodworking machines, such as table saws, jointers, planers, shapers, routers, and drill press to cut and shape plywood and or hardwood material.
- Cut and trim component parts of joints to ensure tight fit using hand tools, including planes, chisels, and wood files
- Bore holes for insertion of screws or dowels by hand or using boring machines.
- Glues, fits, and clamping parts and sub - assemblies together to form complete unit, using clamps or clamping machines
- Be able to use nail guns and staplers to fasten assembles and designated places to reinforce joints.
- Properly sand and scrape surfaces and joints of articles to prepare articles for finish
- Install hardware such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls, including specialty hardware
- Must have organizational skills
- Must pass physical

Occasionally requires extended work days. Requires occasional travel for material pickup, field measuring and client meetings
