What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing Specialist position at Blanchard Valley Medical Associates?
The Medical Billing Specialist reviews insurance claims; then researches, corrects and resubmits claim denials. Successful candidate will also train to learn charge and payment posting. Required/preferred qualifications include: Medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding knowledge; understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance claim processing, billing, and collection practices; and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and oral forms with physicians, staff, and patients.
