Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, and facilitating the collection of insurance and patient payments for medical/dental/behavioral health services. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to work efficiently within a medical office environment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately code medical/dental/behavioral health procedures and diagnoses using ICD-10 coding systems.
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement of services rendered.
- Review and resolve any discrepancies in billing information or claims denials.
- Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Communicate with patients regarding their billing inquiries and assist with payment arrangements.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper documentation is available for billing purposes.
- Conduct follow-ups on outstanding accounts and manage collections effectively.
Experience
- Previous FQHC experience in medical billing or coding is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, office procedures, and healthcare systems is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
