What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher position at Bland's Wrecker Service?
Hiring full time and part-time dispatchers for a local wrecker, recovery, and transportation company. Multiple positions available.
Starting pay is $16/Hour. 2nd, and weekend pay incentives. On call pay, raises after training completion. No experience necessary, we provide paid training.
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Taking calls for service and entering information into the dispatching software
- Dispatching the appropriate equipment for jobs
- Data entry
- Communicating effectively with Management, Drivers, and Co-Workers.
Requirements:
- At least 18 years old
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to answer a multi-line phone system
- Ability to perform in a fast paced environment
- Ability to use basic computer programs
- Ability to interpret GPS locations from trucks and send the closest available to calls
- Ability to work Afternoons, Evenings, and Weekends
- Ability to be on call overnight from home
