What You'll Own
- Work directly with the Director of Real Estate and collaborate with the leadership team to shape Blank Street's growth strategy and bring it to life.
- Conduct market research and site analyses, combining data-driven insights with a holistic understanding of customer preferences.
- Scout neighborhoods in current and new markets to identify new potential locations.
- Work with brokers to build and vet a robust pipeline of potential sites across all markets.
- Prepare detailed memos for each site and present recommendations at Real Estate Committee for approval.
- Drive lease negotiations, ensuring favorable terms while aligning deals with our growth strategy and operational requirements.
- Maintain and report on the overall store pipeline and project timelines, ensuring transparency and regular updates to the leadership team.
- Partner with legal, design, and development teams to ensure seamless coordination across deal negotiation, design, construction, and opening.
- Refine and enhance current site selection and growth strategies to to align with market trends, brand goals, and emerging opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful deal execution and smooth openings.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in real estate, business, or a related field.
- 4 years of experience in real estate, ideally within consumer retail or multi-site growth experience.
- Strong understanding of lease negotiation and deal structuring.
- Ability to interpret market data, financial metrics, and site feasibility assessments.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence presenting to senior leadership.
- Collaborative mindset with an ability to build effective working relationships across teams and external partners.
- Enthusiastic about exploring vibrant neighborhoods and potential trade areas in new and existing markets, with flexibility to travel as needed.
- $80,000 - $95,000 annual base salary
- Blank Street, in good faith, believes that the posted salary range is accurate for this role in New York City at the time of posting. Our salaries are rooted in the desire to pay competitively relative to our organization size and industry, reflecting just one part of the total compensation package. Additional components include equity, healthcare benefits, paid time off and various work perks (commuter benefits, free coffee). Details will be discussed during the interview process. Blank Street may pay more or less than the posted range based on factors such as relevant experience and skills, qualifications and location, among others. This range may be modified in the future.
