Hostess/Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive. You will also manage cash transactions and assist with various front-of-house operations, contributing to a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize seating arrangements.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately using the Aloha POS system or other point-of-sale systems.
• Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about menu items, specials, and reservations.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.

Skills

• Strong guest services skills with a focus on creating a positive dining experience.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Proficient phone etiquette for handling inquiries and reservations professionally.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality service.

Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
