About the Role:
The Certified Millwright plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment within our facilities. This position involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of various mechanical systems, which are essential for our production processes. The millwright will work closely with other trades and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions that enhance productivity. A successful candidate will contribute to minimizing downtime and ensuring safety standards are met, ultimately supporting the overall operational goals of the organization. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity of our machinery, which directly impacts our ability to deliver high-quality products to our customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Millwright or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance and repair.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CNC machinery and automated systems.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting.
- Additional certifications in safety or specialized machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Install, align, and maintain machinery and equipment according to specifications.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on various types of machinery.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability.
- Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.
Skills:
The required skills for this role include a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Daily work will involve using problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
