Job Description:
As a Cable Installation and Maintenance Professional at Blattner Energy, Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation of electrical systems for renewable energy projects.
We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Renewable Energy Installation Technician. In this position, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical equipment at both medium and low voltages. This includes terminating and splicing medium voltage cables (34.5 kV) and low voltage cables (less than 1500 v), both AC and DC.
The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of codes and standards, including OSHA's safe energized working clearances. They will also possess basic knowledge of materials used in line work and be able to lift in excess of 50 lbs. Additionally, they should have experience operating construction equipment and be capable of performing rigorous physical labor.
This is a hands-on role that requires the ability to work outside frequently in inclement weather, as well as at heights and/or confined spaces. You will need to follow instructions, respond to management direction, take responsibility for your actions, and commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.
