About My Client:

My client is a well-capitalized and highly active owner/builder with a strong portfolio of ground-up multifamily developments throughout Florida. They are known for delivering high-quality residential communities and self-performing construction across multiple projects. As their pipeline in Fort Myers and surrounding markets continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Lead Superintendent to oversee the execution of multiple developments in their expanding portfolio.

Role Overview:

This is a key on-site leadership role for someone with a proven track record managing large-scale multifamily projects from start to finish. The Lead Superintendent will take full responsibility for field operations, subcontractor coordination, and schedule management across a series of ground-up developments. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as the lead field superintendent on multifamily jobs and a history of delivering projects safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily construction operations across one or more multifamily job sites in the Fort Myers area
• Coordinate subcontractors, logistics, and construction activity to ensure quality and schedule alignment
• Maintain and drive project schedules, adjusting field strategy to stay on track
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA standards across all active sites
• Conduct site meetings, safety briefings, and walkthroughs with internal and external stakeholders
• Identify and resolve field issues before they impact project delivery
• Ensure projects are built in accordance with drawings, codes, and client expectations
• Collaborate closely with internal construction management teams and ownership
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting from the field
• Ideally have delivered 1,500 multifamily units over the last 5 years as a Lead Superintendent

Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lead Superintendent on large-scale multifamily projects
• Deep experience in wood frame, concrete podium, wrap, or garden-style construction
• Strong leadership, organizational, and subcontractor management skills
• OSHA 30 certified with a strong safety track record
• Proficient in field-based tools and software such as Procore and MS Project
• Clear communicator, effective at working with both internal teams and third-party consultants
• Prior experience with owner/builders is a plus
• Familiarity with Fort Myers and Southwest Florida construction markets preferred
