Description
This position will manage part of the Accounting Department in accordance with Blaze's goals, vision, and values. Responsibilities include ensuring Blaze remains in compliance with all rules, regulations and standard accounting practices.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
- Assists with preparing monthly financial statements and associated documents. Assists with the NCUA / State of MN examinations, the annual financial statement audit, and the quarterly NCUA 5300 Call Report.
- Assists the Director of Corporate Accounting with the accounting general ledger (GL) reconciliation process
- Assists the Director of Corporate Accounting with the month-end and year-end closing process.
- Works with branch leaders and other managers on accounting related needs and questions.
- Reviews and resolves daily GL errors, troubleshoots GL balancing issues. Provides direction to staff on accounting and GL related questions.
- Maintains the integrity and accuracy of internal Accounting reports and metrics.
- Leads the integration of third-party systems and the core operating system to the GL system.

This is an in-office position, it is not a remote position

The starting rate of pay for this position is : $103,000 - $129,000. This range reflects the starting base salary for this position. We have other benefits associated with this position which include : low-cost medical (as low as $20 a paycheck), dental insurance, vision insurance, quarterly bonuses, generous vacation and sick time hours, paid leave options, up to 6% 401k contribution, and tuition reimbursement.
