Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement occupational therapy interventions to address sensory, motor, and developmental concerns.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students' academic and functional goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input regarding students' goals and progress.
- Stay current with best practices and trends in occupational therapy and education.
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid Occupational Therapist license issued by the state.
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably within a school setting.
- Knowledge of local and state regulations governing occupational therapy services in educational settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
