Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for a full-time contract position as a Paraprofessional in Laconia, NH. We are looking for experienced professionals who meet all requirements set by local and state regulations. Applicants must have a high school diploma and either two years of higher education (an associate's degree) or a state license. Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
Job Duties:
Student Support: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs, including but not limited to academic support, behavior management, and social skills development.
Assistance in Instruction: Assist teachers in implementing instructional plans and adapting materials to meet the individual needs of students with disabilities. Provide reinforcement and encouragement to students during learning activities.
Behavioral Support: Implement behavior intervention strategies as directed by the teacher or behavior specialist. Help students learn and practice appropriate behaviors in various settings.
Data Collection: Collect data on student progress and behavior as needed. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and interventions.
Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to support the overall educational and developmental goals of students with special needs. Participate in team meetings and contribute insights and observations about student progress and needs.
