Our Firm has an opening for an experienced Litigation Secretary. We are one of the preeminent law firms in the Hudson Valley region serving clients for over 85 years.
Requirements:

Full Time:35 hour work week
Experience: Minimum of 3 years preferred
Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 commensurate with education and experience

Requirements:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Time and Billing software.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of case files and client matters.
- Knowledge of local, state and federal court litigation documentation and filing procedures.
- E-filing experience.
- Knowledge of office procedures and legal terminology.
- Strong typing skills.
- Solid organization skills and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel.
- Support multiple attorneys.
- Prepare pleadings, e-file these documents with the court.
- Prepare discovery documents including interrogatories and requests for production. Typing, sending and tracking subpoenas.
- Maintaining attorney’s calendar: Scheduling depositions, conferences (including teleconference) site examinations and travel.
- Scheduling independent medical examinations and other appointments required by the CPLR.
- Create discovery binders; indexing and filing discovery documents.
- Organizing and filing case documents.
- Locating and communicating with experts; organizing and filing expert reports.
- Prepare files for trial.
- Enter the attorney’s time in the time and billing system. Review prebills.
- Correspondence with clients, witnesses and opposing counsel.
- Prepare expense reports. Track costs, exhibits and other information. Maintain docket systems. Routing correspondence, reports and legal documents.
