Bleecker Street Bar has been a staple of the NoHo area of Manhattan since 1990. Guests from all over the world have enjoyed its friendly atmosphere, incredible pricing and pristine bar games. It’s humble and unassuming culture has attracted all forms of life ranging from top ‘A list’ celebrities to the day-to-day working professionals.

The team at Bleecker Street Bar is beyond excited to be open in our new location. Steps away from its inception back in 1990, the new premises is now directly on Broadway in the historic Banner building. We had a very busy first 2 years open, and we are excited to add the right bartender to our amazing team.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a fun, energetic individuals that lead with integrity, professionalism & tact.

Job Description:
- Efficiently set up and prepare the bar for the day, including sidework, stocking and cleaning, and setting ambiance.

-MUST HAVE VERY HIGH VOLUME EXPERIENCE and the ability to hold down a large bar while also filling server drink orders. Must work well independently and with a team of other bartenders and support staff. Must be able to work day shifts and cultivate regulars during slow and busy periods.
- Be well versed in beer, wine, spirit & cocktail knowledge. Self-driven to learn and grow.
- Provide an inviting environment for new and returning guests
- Collaborating with the kitchen and bar staff for prompt and correct delivery of orders
- Memorizing the menu and recommend appetizers, meals and drinks from bar menu, paying special attention to dietary restrictions, and lifestyle choices.
- Delivering a memorable experience by resolving all customer issues promptly
- Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the bar and dining area neat and presentable
- Setting tables and rearranging the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare the bar for special events & or large groups

Minimal Requirements:

- Base knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and classic cocktails. Must be able to free pour.
- MINIMUM 4 YEARS working in a NYC fast-paced, high-volume eating & drinking establishment
- Have night, weekend & holiday availability!
- Ability to navigate Restaurant Point-Of-Sale platforms
- Have a firm understanding of the impact of appropriate ambiance
- DOH Food Handlers Certified
- Up-To-Date NYC Harassment Free Certificate
