Position Summary
The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of Blenko Glass Company. This position is responsible for managing daily accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the Director of Finance in financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
