Personal Care Nurse

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Private Duty Nurse to provide personalized care to patients in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing with experience in various medical settings. This role requires a dedicated professional who can deliver high-quality care while maintaining the dignity and comfort of patients. The Private Duty Nurse will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive health management.

Duties

• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and injections as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting medical records accurately.
• Assist with daily living activities, including catheterization and aliment support.
• Implement infection control measures to manage infectious disease care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and adjust care plans based on patient needs.
• Perform sterile processing of medical equipment and supplies.
• Offer urgent care support as needed, including emergency medicine interventions.
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities by providing specialized nursing care tailored to their needs.

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
• Proven experience in acute care settings or private duty nursing preferred.
• Strong skills in administering injections and managing medical records.
• Knowledge of sterile processing techniques and infection control protocols.
• Ability to provide urgent care and emergency medicine as required.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Ability to work independently while being part of a larger healthcare team.
