Seasonal Innkeeper – Blind Tiger Guest House (Portland, ME)

Blind Tiger Guest House in Portland’s beautiful historic West End, is seeking a seasonal innkeeper to join our small, inclusive, and tight-knit team. This role is ideal for a hospitality-minded individual who enjoys creating welcoming experiences for guests while maintaining the charm and individuality of our unique property. This role will mainly consist of opening, breakfast preparation/display, guest assistance & housekeeping. Typical shifts will be Sunday through Wednesday from 7am-3pm.
$18 hourly plus tips
Responsibilities:- Make beds, strip sheets, stock rooms with toiletries, do laundry, vacuum, mop, and perform other cleaning duties as needed
- Track rooms cleaned and document lost and found items, damage, and repairs needed
- Perform cleaning duties and arrange guest rooms to our hotel’s standard before guests arrive
- Manage the cleanliness of common spaces such as the hallways, public restrooms, and hotel lobby
- Reply to general questions guests have during their stay
- Breakfast preparation and display: Set up and present our daily breakfast spread.
- Guest Services Assist with reservations, check-ins/outs, and in-person guest requests.
- 1 years as a professional housekeeper or similar position
- Hard worker with strong time management, organizational, and communication skills
- Graduated high school, received G.E.D or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and products
