About the Role:

Blink Fitness (PureGym Group) is looking to hire a Vice President of People Services – US to lead the Human Resources/People Services function on behalf of the brand and the company. The Vice President of People Services – US sits on the local leadership team but reports to the Group Chief People Officer and is responsible for driving the Gym Operations HR agenda in line with the Group’s People objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the PureGym Group’s vision and strategy, and act as the senior advisor on key topics that will directly affect and shape people and culture in the US.
  • Work collaboratively with the Group People function to drive and improve the employee life cycle from end-to-end for our Gym Operations employees.
  • Serve as the Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) to the local leadership team to meet goals and objectives around People and Culture – providing counsel and guidance on performance management, organizational structure, hiring, training/upskilling, team cohesion, employee engagement, and other topics.
  • Work in collaboration with the Group People function to design and implement retention strategies focusing on key leaders and individuals with core competencies or skills critical to the organization.
  • Work in collaboration with the Group People function and the Benefit Brokers on day-to-day benefit administration for all benefits offered, including but not limited to health and welfare, retirement, transportation, etc.
  • Reduce risk across the organization by leading the management of all employee relations (ER) issues. Oversee the team running day-to-day oversight of investigations while also looking holistically at root causes in order to create and implement training, policies, and procedures that reduce ER incidents.
  • Develop and implement talent strategies that touch all aspects of the employee lifecycle to drive performance, development, engagement, and retention.
  • Coach employees at all levels, building trust and rapport to provide support in areas such as leadership development and employee relations.
  • Continually promote a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workforce.
  • Drive a culture that embraces feedback in all directions throughout the organization.
  • Work in collaboration with the Group People function to deliver local annual performance cycle.
  • Work in collaboration with the Group People function to deliver local compensation strategy.
  • Understand and adhere to all applicable federal, state, and/or local leave and income replacement laws or ordinances.
  • Design, propose, and implement operating models and organizational designs that will enable efficiency and success within Gym Operations. Partner closely with VP of Operations to design field structure and compensation model.
  • Guide employees communications on strategic and tactical objectives related to employee experience working closely with the local leadership team and Group Communications function.
  • Work collaboratively with all internal departments, especially payroll and others.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience of working within a Group matrix.
  • 10 years of progressive relevant experience, including prior management experience.
  • Prior experience leading the end-to-end Human Resources function at a medium to large company, with particular experience of supporting field based teams.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of employment laws and regulations.
  • Advanced MS Office and HR Systems knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact well with all levels of the organization and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in leading, inspiring, coaching, and building world-class teams.
  • Ability to travel locally and as designated by business needs.

  • Must be a team player who understands the importance of the role as a key support function to the operating team
  • Strong communications skills – in addition to competencies around editing and writing - materials produced will be routinely distributed to senior management, board members, investors and other stakeholders
  • Project management skills - proven ability to oversee a project with objective of prioritizing and investing time appropriately
  • Ability and desire to roll up sleeves and be hands on in an entrepreneurial fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and within short time constraints in a complex system and

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive Base Salary: $175,000.00 - 200,000.00k/yr
