Key Responsibilities
Marine Forklift Operations
- Safely operate marine forklifts and other equipment to lift, transport, and store boats of various sizes.
- Ensure proper handling of boats to avoid damage during lifting, transporting, or storing.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of forklift equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct general maintenance tasks around the marina, including but not limited to cleaning, painting, basic carpentry, and repairs.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of storage and work areas.
- Address and report any maintenance issues promptly to management.
- Prior experience operating forklifts or similar heavy equipment (certification preferred).
- Basic knowledge of general maintenance tasks, including carpentry and painting.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor in outdoor environments and lift heavy objects as needed.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions, including weekends.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Previous experience in a marina or marine-related environment.
- Familiarity with boat handling and storage procedures.
- Mechanical skills for minor equipment repairs.
