As the Associate Director, Social and Influencer Marketing for the unannounced title, you will be the driving force behind social media and influencer marketing – from announce, to launch, to rapid growth. This role will have a thought leadership position inside the organization, playing a key part in building the new game’s brand.
The ideal candidate will have deep social media or influencer marketing experience at an agency or on the client side in the gaming, entertainment or consumer tech industries. They have proven success building a brand on social media by creating a social presence that is an audience magnet. They have built social and influencer programs that have resulted in an explosion of fandom by being relevant and compelling to broader audiences. This position requires an expert in digital marketing who is a proactive self-starter constantly looking to push the envelope with creative ideas to build and delight passionate player communities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead social media strategy development and execution for an unannounced title, including, but not limited to: TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, Discord, YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, and Snapchat. Emphasis on TikTok, YouTube, Twitch and Discord.
- Lead influencer marketing strategy development and execution for an unannounced title, including: lifestyle influencers, core gaming influencers, variety gaming influencers. Engaging through both core influencer community building and paid influencer marketing.
- Drive creative to embed the game brand into cultural conversations, building a massive following even beyond those that are initially aware of the game.
- Develop content for owned social channels in partnership with streamers and influencers.
- Identify and develop new relationships with the influencer community.
- Create key tentpole social and influencer events and activations throughout the game lifecycle.
- Manage creative production, overseeing content review and ensuring executional success across internal and external creative teams
- Bring new and big ideas to the table with a digital first mindset, as well as collaboratively build on others’ concepts to deliver game engagement and build passion for the unannounced title
- Partner with title marketing leads to prioritize opportunities and set digital marketing goals in support of key marketing beats
- Organize the global social and influencer content calendar and operation, aligning key stakeholders
- Define and update social and influencer best practices, informing and aligning regional partners on global strategy to tailor and optimize market-specific strategies and tactics
- Work effectively with internal cross-functional teams including Product Marketing, Consumer Marketing, Growth Marketing, Public Relations, Events, and Partnerships to drive 360 campaigns
- Drive social and influencer reporting, insights, and delivery through the use of analytics tools, including Sprinklr
- Utilize learnings to inform and support the creative approach, as well as drive KPIs across platforms and campaigns
PLAYER PROFILE
- 7 years experience in social or influencer marketing at an agency within Gaming, Entertainment or Consumer Tech industries.
- Demonstrated success building brand-defining social and influencer programs that cut through culture and create broad fandom, with an emphasis on TikTok, YouTube, Twitch and Discord.
- Proven experience building and executing social or influencer strategies for a new brand from announcement to launch, resulting in a passionate fan community that impactfully advocates for the new brand even before it hits the market.
- Experience collaborating within a large organization, driving creative work with multiple internal departments and 3rd party agencies/ partners. Familiarity with the gaming industry and overall enthusiasm for gaming
- Experience managing direct reports and/or working with 3rd party agencies Appetite for all things digital, social and influencer
- - up to date on the latest platforms and technologies and desire to identify opportunities for strategic brand involvement
- Deep knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and best practices for content creation, engagement, and community building.
- Ability to think creatively and outside the box, leveraging cultural trends and social moments to make a brand stand out.
- Fluency in both the creative and analytical sides of digital marketing with working knowledge of social platforms and tools such as Sprinklr and native platform analytics tools
- Self-starter mentality and track-record for clever social ideas with desire to identify opportunities for strategic brand involvement
- Ability to effectively interact with internal/external stakeholders and all levels of management with exceptional skills in preparing and presenting materials across varying audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or marketing or equivalent field.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $111,960.00 - $207,270.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
